Pakistan are set to start their 2018 Asia Cup campaign with the opening match against Hong Kong on Sunday, 16th September 2018 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Pakistan are placed in Group A with India and Hong Kong the other two teams and they will play one game against the other two teams in the group. Top two teams from both groups will qualify for “Super Four” round where they play one game against each of the three teams.

Pakistan vs Hong Kong Preview: Pakistan are odds on favourite to win the opening group game and put one foot in Super Four round. Pakistan will play India on 19th September 2018 to wrap up the group A. The format of this tournament is dodgy to say the least as its hard to find the argument to have two group stages but thats the way this Tournament will be played.
Pakistan have announced very strong squad for 2018 Asia Cup unlike India who rested their marque player in Virat Kohli. Pakistan included some surprise names the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Usman Shinwari, Fahim Ashraf and Muhammad Nawaz alongside the more established ODI players.
Hong Kong team is no way near the standard of top ODI nations in the world but they qualified for the Asia Cup and will be looking to pull off a surprise against either Pakistan or India in the two group games they are suppose to play. They will be captained by Anshuman Rath.
